The arrangements we made in advance were reliable. The guide turned up at the right time. Our guide was quite dour but maybe that was essential to the experience. We certainly felt that we had been shown around by a real local. If you do the trip to Russky Island, make sure you have appropriate footwear etc. It was very wet and muddy when we went (July).
